Additional Educational Opportunities

Below are additional classes that are included in your tuition, and that your child will have on a regular basis:

Introduction to the Computer
An introduction to the computer will be taught to the PreK class. Two days per week the computer will be available to the students as one of their centers during free play. Teachers will be there to instruct the students. Children’s educational programs will be used.

Music and Movement Class
A qualified instructor will teach our students for 30 minutes one day a week. This class will focus on developing balance, coordination, and flexibility, as well as the child's ability to listen to and follow directions, through the use of music and other apparatus.

Field Trips
We have “special” guests come to our school for “in house” field trips. Throughout the year we have a fire fighter come with his fire truck; Ashland Nature Center with their animals and reptiles native to Delaware; a policeman; and other educational personnel will be invited to the school from time to time. Permission slips will be sent home for many of the trips.

Christian Education
Weekly all our classes will gather for a chapel service in our fellowship hall. During this time we will have singing and a Bible story. Our classes are taught from a Biblical world and life view, believing that God is sovereign, loving, and the author of all life and truth.

Music
Music is very much a part of our program. Songs are used to teach and to transition from one activity to the next, as well as used to build and strengthen memory.

Sunday School (optional)
If your family does not have a church home, we would also like to invite you to attend and enroll your child in the Heritage Sunday School. Weekly classes are available for children and adults on Sunday mornings. Our worship services (with childcare available) are at 9:45 a.m. with Youth and Adult Sunday School (also with childcare available) at 11:15 a.m.

FaithWeaver Friends (optional)
Your preschool child and siblings through 5th grade are invited to our Tuesday youth nights from 6:30 -8:00 p.m. beginning September 11th. Your children will experience Bible lessons through songs, puppet shows, games, crafts, and snack.
